Frequently Asked Questions

How our venture studio works—what we build, and the lab behind it.

How does the Joshua8.AI studio model work?

We build AI companies and back them with capital. For each venture, we build the minimum viable product (MVP)—the focused product that proves the company is ready to raise—and take it from concept to a fundable Series A. At that point we step back from day-to-day operations and remain an investor, advisor, and board member, letting others lead subsequent rounds.

Do you take outside ideas or co-found companies?

Yes. If you have an AI venture idea—or want a technical co-founder—we bring engineering, capital, and a full technical and hardware lab to take it from concept to launch. Get in touch to start the conversation.

What can your technical and hardware lab build?

Our 4,500 sq ft lab runs NVIDIA Blackwell and Pascal GPU compute for local model training, fine-tuning, and high-throughput inference, plus a full machine shop, 3D printing and PCB CNC, and an electronics/RF bench (FPGAs, software-defined radios, spectrum analysis). It takes a venture from concept all the way to a shipped physical product. See the full lab.

Do you still do consulting?

We take a small number of select advisory engagements, applying the same expertise we use to build our own products: AI strategy and readiness, custom model selection and fine-tuning, context engineering and RAG, and cloud-or-local deployment with full ownership. We help organizations avoid the 95% failure rate of unfocused AI pilots. Start with our free AI guide.

Do you build on the cloud or locally?

Both. We have deep expertise in local AI—running models on our own GPUs for privacy, control, and cost—as well as cloud deployment. We choose whatever best fits the venture or engagement.
